Parliamentary Candidate 2019

Chris Brown with his sons at the Norwich Climate Strike, October 2019

Chris Brown, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for South Norfolk

General Election

12th December 2019

Chris lives in South Norfolk with his wife, Zoë, and three young children. (Two of whom he accompanied to the recent Norwich Climate Strike - see photo). He is a Chartered Public Relations Practitioner and runs his own PR business, where he specialises in community engagement, stakeholder and media relations. Chris was a local councillor in Reading for 3 years before moving to Norfolk and in May 2019 was elected to South Norfolk County, where he leads the Liberal Democrat Group

As a Councillor running his own business Chris can see what is important for our community, and it is not Brexit. Chris says " we need to improve our schools, fix our NHS, invest in renewable energy. We will have neither the time nor the money to do those things if we continue with either a Johnson or a Corbyn Brexit. "Getting Brexit Done" will just be the start of years, and possibly decades of uncertain trade negotiations when our people, public services and planet can't wait.

With a young family and serving as a governor of a local primary school, Chris takes a special interest in education. Having also been a trustee of a homelessness charity, he is very aware of the issues around this area of concern. He is proud to support the Liberal Democrats stance as the biggest party of Remain and believes that the people must have the final say.
